Bioblitz of Church Creek, Annapolis, MD
Sept. 11th to Sept. 12th, 2015
To view the preliminary results of the Federation's first ever BioBlitz of the Church Creek Watershed, click here. Considered the most impaired tributary of the South River, the South River Federation has been working hard to holistically restore the creek by installing living shorelines, bio-rentention areas, and large in-stream restorations project that physically filter the stormwater through sand and gravel step pools. A Bioblitz is an education event, where scientists and community members come together to count as many living organisms as possible in a 24 hour time period.
