| Rain Garden Planting at Historic London Town by cindy |
Thanks to the dozens of volunteers who came out Saturday morning to help plant hundreds of plants in beautiful Historic London Town and Gardens! This is a system of three rain gardens and step pools that help control stormwater run off from the property into the South River.
It was a beautiful day and many hands made for light work.
Donna Ware, Executive Director of Historic London Town and Mel Wilkins of the Spa Creek Conservancy gave an inspiring and educational introduction.
County Executive Leopold paid a special visit and planted the first plant.
Anne Guilette and Erik help plant along the step pools, below.
