If you noticed a helicopter flying around Quiet Waters Park this morning - the MD Dept of Agriculture was spraying for Gypsy Moth larvae. Obviously, a serious problem in this area. They were spraying Bt (Bacillus thuringiensis) a pesticide formulated with a naturally occurring soil bacterium. Click here to read more about their Gypsy Moth program.
