Upcoming Events

Spring 2005 was our first Watershed Snapshot - and we have continued the event each year since.  This is great opportunity to visit a local stream to collect important water quality data and make physical observations about the surroundings.  This information helps us identify trends and possible trouble spots.

Volunteers  will select their site(s) at one of two training sessions and get their kits. On the morning of April 24, samplers will gather their kits and head to their pre-selected sample location(s) throughout the watershed.  Samples must be taken sometime between 9:00 am and 11:30.  We need to have all samples/information NLT Noon in order to get the bacteria samples to the lab in Arnold.

All samplers must attend one of two trainings (one on the 18th, the other on the 21st).  See those dates for details. Register for this event by signing up for one of the two trainings.

It's suggested that each sampler have a partner or two, to help at their site.

Drop off location is outside the Senior Center in Edgewater - on Stepney Lane next door to the library.
