Description
Since its inception in the Jones Falls watershed (by Irvine Nature Center) over 30 years ago, this annual event, sponsored by the Alliance for the Chesapeake Bay, has grown from a local trash pick up to encompass over 100 sites around Maryland. The Federation is working with a local landowner to clean up an old dumping ground in the headwaters of Beard’s Creek. Some steep slopes, but other areas suitable for children.
Work gloves, refreshments, and bags will be provided, but we can use lots of enthusiastic volunteers. Hope to see you there.
Wear clothes that can get dirty and close-toed shoes.
