This year’s “Walk for the Woods” is a wonderful opportunity for local residents to explore a piece of wilderness right in the heart of Anne Arundel County!  Not  yet open to the public, Bacon Ridge Branch Natural Area is a 546 acre protected property in Crownsville projected to become part of the Anne Arundel County park system.  Upland streams, lily filled ponds, nesting birds and spring wild flowers are just a few of sights to delight the senses of nature enthusiasts at this event.  Hikes range from 1 to 4 miles on marked trials.  Each walker will receive a Points of Interest Guide and may hike alone or join a guided bird or naturalist-led walk.

This is a perfect time to show our local representatives how important preserving land in our county is!  If you care about preserving sensitive land in Anne Arundel County - we want to see you there!!!

Right on Marbury Road (within 1/4 mile of Gen.Hwy.)
