South River Days Celebration

Sojourn & Wade-In

Join us for the First Annual South River Days Celebration!  The kayak flotilla will launch at 9:00 a.m. off of Glebe Bay at the corner of Shore Drive and Grange Road.  Please arrive at 8:30 a.m. to set up your kayak or canoe.  If you would like to participate and don't have your own kayak, please call Sarah and we can get you set up with a kayak.  Annapolis Canoe & Kayak are offering amazing deals on rentals!  Just mention the South River Federation and the South River Days event. The Federation will take care of transporting rented kayaks from ACK to the beach and back.  We will explore in and around Glebe Bay and make our way towards Almshouse Creek, where we will land the kayaks for the cook-out and the "Bernie Fowler" style wade-in.  This year we are excited to have Senator Bernie Fowler join us for the wade-in.  So please remember to bring your white tennis shoes or water shoes so we can wade-in the water to see how far we can see our toes. 

Can't make the kayak trip, no worries you can still be a part of the day.  Join us for the cook-out and wade-in on Almshouse Creek at Londontown Community Beach 3.  We will have a cook-out, wade-in, and other family fun activities, such as fish printing and seining!  We hope to see you there.  Please be sure to RSVP with us if you rent kayaks.  You can RSVP to Sarah at This e-mail address is being protected from spambots.
