Jennifer graduated from Penn State University with a degree in Geography and a minor in Environmental Science. After graduation, she worked for an AmeriCorps non-profit in Baltimore for almost two years. She also had a four-month internship with the International Rescue Committee, a refugee resettlement organization. In April of 2010, Jennifer accepted a three-month volunteer teaching position in a rural village in Serbia. After returning home, Jennifer joined the Chesapeake Conservation Corps with the Chesapeake Bay Trust and was placed with the South River Federation until November 2011.
Now Jennifer is the Volunteer Coordinator for the Federation, working with the Marylanders Grow Oysters growers, Watershed Stewards, and coordinating volunteers for Federation events. In her free time, Jennifer enjoys traveling, studying Italian, volunteering with local refugee families, and anything outdoors.
