Ms. Fritz is an environmental professional with ten years of experience in water quality, land use and sustainability planning, policy management and implementation. Over the last seven years she has played a leadership role at the Prince George’s County Planning Department as the Sustainability Coordinator, and recently managed the update of the county’s land use policy plan for where and how the county should grow in the next 20 years.

Jesse Iliff

Jesse Iliff is an attorney who obtained his juris doctor with a certificate of concentration in environmental law from the University of Maryland, Carey School of Law. A native of Arnold, Maryland, Mr. Iliff interned with the Office of the Attorney General's Environmental Crimes Unit while studying for the bar exam before litigating a variety of cases in state and federal court after entering private practice in 2010.

Suzanne Martin

Suzanne has 18 years experience in fundraising, primarily in the education and environmental arenas. She has worked at private independents schools, Johns Hopkins University, Wichita State University, the Jane Goodall Institute and most recently at The Key School in Annapolis.

Jennifer Carr

Jennifer graduated from Penn State University with a degree in Geography and a minor in Environmental Science.  After graduation, she worked for an AmeriCorps non-profit in Baltimore, interned with the International Rescue Committee and taught in a rural village in Serbia.   After returning home, Jennifer joined the Chesapeake Conservation Corps with the Chesapeake Bay Trust and was placed with the South River Federation until November 2011.

Jaclyn Fisher

Jaclyn is the most recent Conservation Corps volunteer. She graduated from the University of Maryland with her M.S. in Sustainable Development and Conservation Biology, where she studied the effect of the Harris Creek oyster restoration on water quality.

Nancy Merrill

Nancy Merrill is a recent transplant to the shores of the South River although she grew up as a river rat on the nearby Severn River. fishing, crabbing, and in general messing about on boats. She has worked as an environmental educator for Chesapeake Bay Foundation and Friends of the Rappahannock. 

Shardee' Powell

Shardee’ is a Calvert County Native but, isn’t a stranger to the South River watershed. Shardee’ joined the Federation in 2014, bringing with her extensive experience in customer service and administration. 

Sarah Giordano

Sarah Giordano signed on as a Chesapeake Conservation Corps volunteer after graduating from Washington College with a B.A. in Environmental Studies, a minor in Anthropology, and a concentration in Chesapeake Regional Studies.
