The South River Federation held its 4th Annual Membership Appreciation Fish Fry on Saturday, August 25 at the Chesapeake Bay Foundation's Philip Merrill Environmental Center. The Federation recognized its founding members, who helped establish the organization nearly ten years ago. Attendees enjoyed live music, fried fish and hush puppies, fresh corn, and good conversation. Spotted at the event were County Executive John Leopold and former State Senator Gerald Winegrad.
The Federation is a non-profit organization whose mission is to restore, protect, preserve and celebrate the South River and its ecosystem.
